With multiple presets set up in advance, you can customize a patrol route for your camera. This article will guide you on how to set up patrol for your camera via the NVR with a monitor connected. Please make sure your camera has been added to the NVR correctly.

Step 1. Enter the live-view page of your camera on the NVR monitor, and click the PTZ icon to call the PTZ menu.

Step 3. You may choose the preset points you need. And click the Add button to add more presets. Please note that you can add the same preset repeatedly. The picture below shows that a patrol route of "preset 1-preset 2-preset 3" has been created. The camera will patrol according to this path.

Step 4. The camera will patrol at the speed of 6 and stay at each preset point for 1 second by default. You can change these parameters. Click patrol_poingt_settings.png on the preset point to set them up.

Notes:

  • Duration: The time for which the camera will stay at this patrol point (1-300 seconds).
  • Speed: the speed at which the camera will move to this patrol point (1-64). The larger the number, the faster the moving speed.
  • If you don't need a patrol point anymore, click the Trash Can icon to delete it from your patrol route. Deleting all the patrol points means the patrol route is deleted, too.

Step 5. After setting up a patrol route, turn back to the PTZ menu.

Click start.png on Patrol, and then the camera will start to patrol automatically according to the patrol route.

Click stop on Patrol, and then the camera will stop auto patrol.
