To ensure proper operation of Reolink TrackMix LTE Plus, it is necessary to install it with the Reolink Solar Panel Plus for power supply. Please follow the step-by-step instructions below for a successful installation.
Choose an ideal installation location
Step 1. Choose a location where the solar panel can get the most sunlight throughout the year.
Note: The Reolink solar panel needs only a few hours of direct sunlight to power up your camera daily. Factors such as weather conditions, seasonal changes, and geographic location can affect the amount of energy produced by the solar panel.
Step 2. Install the camera 2–3 meters (7-10 ft) above ground to maximize the detection range of the PIR motion sensor.
Note: For optimal detection, install the camera in the direction crossing intruders' movement path instead of facing it, otherwise, the camera may fail to detect motion.
Install the Solar Panel
Step 1. Attach the camera mounting base to the mounting bracket with two screws.
Step 2. Drill holes in the desired mounting surface according to the mounting template.
Step 3. Insert the included anchors, and attach the mounting bracket to the mounting surface. Use the provided open-end wrench to tighten the screws to secure the bracket.
Step 4. Install the solar panel onto the bracket. Use the provided hex key to tighten the screws and secure the panel in place.
Step 5. Loosen the four screws on both sides of the solar panel’s bracket and find the angle that receives maximum sunlight. Once determined, tighten the screws firmly to maintain the desired angle.
Step 6. Connect the cable from the panel to the shorter cable on the bracket. Ensure that the arrows on the two cables are aligned.
Install the Camera
Step 1. Attach the camera to the mounting bracket for better waterproof performance.
(1) Secure the lower part of the camera bracket using a screwdriver and two screws.
(2) Fix the upper part with the screwdriver and two screws.
(3) Connect the camera’s charging cable to the longer cable on the bracket.
Step 2. Install the camera separately from the solar panel. For details, see the following instructions.
(1) Drill holes with the mounting hole template.
(2) Install the mount base with screws.
(3) Power the camera by connecting its charging cable to the longer cable on the bracket.
(4) Adjust the camera direction as needed by panning and tilting it through the Reolink App or Client.
