For cameras supporting the auto-tracking function, if you want the camera to track and follow a person or vehicle automatically, you need to enable Auto Tracking and set up the auto-tracking features in advance.
Applies to: RLN8-410 (hardware version H3MB18/N2MB02/N3MB01/N7MB01), RLN16-410 (hardware version H3MB18/N6MB01), RLN36, NVS36 and RLN12W, NVS12W.
Note: Only these camera models can support auto tracking: RLC-523WA, RLC-81PA, RLC-823A, RLC-823A 16X, RLC-823S1, RLC-823S2, RLC-823S1W, RLC-830A, E1 Outdoor, E1 Outdoor PoE, E1 Outdoor Pro, E1 Outdoor S, E1 Outdoor CX, E1 Pro (hardware version IPC_566) and E1 Zoom (hardware version IPC_566), Reolink TrackMix Series.

Step 1. Log in to your camera on the NVR monitor and enter the live-view page of your camera. Click the Settings icon on the screen.
Step 2. Go to Camera > Detection > Auto Tracking. Click the switch of Auto Tracking to turn it on (blue).
Step 3. Click Settings to configure the tracking settings, including Tracking Type, Tracking Method, Horizontal Tracking Range and Time to Stop Tracking.
- Tracking Type: The type of objects (person/vehicle/pet) you want the camera to track. This will vary from camera models.
- Tracking Method: The way the camera tracks the object. Currently, the tracking method is PT. For TrackMix series cameras there are three different tracking methods to choose from.
- Tracking Range: The horizontal range of tracking.
- Time to Stop Tracking: Stop tracking if the object stops or disappears after the set time.
Step 4. Click Schedule to configure the time period for auto tracking. Click the grids to enable/disable the schedule.
Done! When a person/vehicle/pet passes by, your camera will follow it automatically.
